Walt Disney Company Profits Increase Positively

In the most recent quarter, Walt Disney Company has increased its profit as three of its blockbuster movies soared high in their ratings.
“Toy Story 3”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Iron Man” topped the blockbuster movie countdown with a combined total gross income of $2.5 billion for the last quarter.
Walt Disney, the world’s largest media company has for years created various Disney films of which most has become top grosser in the movie industry.
Walt Disney income has increased to nearly 40 percent of its total profit.
Walt Disney’s movie “Toy Story 3” in particular shared a big contribution not only to the movie industry but as well as to the toys and apparels sales. Movies created
by Walt Disney usually contribute to some other industries due to its impact to the consumers.
ESPN, another media partner of Walt Disney has earned high ratings during the quarter. It was reported to have an increase of ratings to 30% most especially to its
advertising revenue.
Media Networks such as ESPN and ABC reported operating profits of almost $1.9 billion over the year-earlier period of its operation.
For Walt Disney theme parks, consumers are then being worried about price increases turning over to consumers’ expenses.
Disney’s movies went higher as its operating income reached over $123 million despite loss of almost $12 million a year earlier when movies such as “Confessions of a
Shopaholic”, and “Hannah Montana: The Movie”.
But as the management sees it, it is still too early to declare the Walt Disney Pictures’ recovery of profit.
Over-all, Walt Disney has been consistent with its sales and profits. But still, as what the management says, it is still too early to tell for the year hasn’t ended.
